SUMMER SOLSTICE

NORWAY EXPERIENCE

16-21 June 2025

Lakes, Fjords and Forests

Come join this once in a lifetime wild, soul-led summer solstice experience in the heart of Norway.

We’ll paddle board, wild swim, hike, enjoy fireside cookouts, circle and ceremony - we’ll live together in community, deep in the forest, sharing magical adventures in a mystical land where the sun never quite sets.

We’ll take you on a wondrous journey of connecting deeply with yourself, each other and nature - the perfect antidote for busy souls in need of time out to rewild, reset and reassess life. Together we’ll enjoy the summer solstice, take stock of our year so far and reset ready for what comes next.

We’ll be tucked away in our own secret woodland hideaway - held quite literally by the tall pines and enjoying lakeside views. Our wild camp space is complete with luxury eco cabins, suspended tree tents, campfire circle spaces, swinging hammocks for chilling out plus plenty of private nooks and crannies for personal reflection time.

With easy and gentle walking trails right on our doorstep, a fresh water lake perfect for morning and sunset paddles just 800m from camp this is true Nordic bliss.

This experience will centre the feminine energy, we’ll align ourselves with Mother Nature and fall in step with her gentle rhythm - we will neither rush, nor fill every moment - it’ll be a slow and delicious re-awakening of your soul through the magical power of adventure, nature and deep connection. Read on for the full details and to secure your place.

  • Hosted & Held

Your hosts are sister duo Camilla & Maria, both experienced nature facilitators and retreat hosts with a British and Norwegian heritage and a deep connection to Norway in all her glory. The pair live by the Norwegian ethos of “friluftsliv” – spending time in the wild for nourishment and spiritual growth, self care for the body, the mind and the soul. The sisters will gently guide the group throughout the experience.

You’ll connect deeply to the Nordic way of life with its magical and mystical energies.

  • Adventure & Awe

The land here is full of wisdom, wonder and awe. You’ll feel so held by the nurturing embrace of the trees and plant life, with the sky and stars as our canopy overhead and the luscious mountains, sparkling lakes and fjord line as our jaw dropping backdrop. Nothing could be more inspiring than being fully surrounded and held by Mother Nature herself as we go on this journey together.

We’ll enjoy gentle paddles, swims and hikes. We’ll wake with qi-gong and guided meditation and be lulled to sleep by the rhythm of the land.

  • Ceremony & Circles

Through ritual and ceremony you will be warmly welcomed into this amazing space, nestled in the heart of a Norwegian woodland. Together with fellow guests, you are invited to fully land in this magical place, disconnecting from home-with each day you’ll feel the rest of the world melt away and experience the true power of circle for deep relaxation, connection to self, each other and the land.

You’ll be gently guided on a journey of discovery, invited back to yourself and your sense of wonder and play.

  • Rewild & Revive

We will work with the energies of the group, intuitively feeling into what is needed day by day. We’ll create an experience to rewild your soul - connecting with your inner wild woman adventurer, shining a light on the hidden parts of yourself that society has forced into the dark. Now is the time to fully embrace who you truly are and know every part of you is welcome.

Leave feeling revived, recharged and ready for life. With new friends firmly by your side cheering and encouraging you at every step.

A Taste of Your Time

  • Arrival Day

Arrival is on Monday 17 June - check in from 3pm. Your SUP & Soul and Treetop Ekne hosts will be on hand to co-ordinate with the aim of arranging a couple of shuttle transfers. We’ll co-ordinate once we have all guest arrival times and locations. After arrival you’ll have time to familiarise yourself with your surroundings before our welcome dinner in the evening.

  • Community & Connection

This experience is all about living in community, deepening our connection to self and each other and aligning with the rhythm of nature. We’ll cook together, eat together and keep camp together. We’ll have creative art, music and dance workshops, circle and ceremony, crystal and oracle card workshops and so much more. It’s all about bridging the sisterhood divide, joining hearts and minds.

  • Paddle Boarding

We have a moutain lake 800m from our camp where we can enjoy relaxing paddles, practice and hone our SUP skills, and generally have some fun. We’ll then head out for a sea paddle adventure with our local SUP guide and host, Katrine. You’ll need your own insurance to join the paddling. Safety gear is provided. Wetsuits available on request. Our SUP style is all about adventure and fun, not hardcore paddling.

  • Our Time Together

We will be taking you on a fully guided journey - designing each day around you and with the intention of helping you to disconnect, land in the space and reconnect. We’ll go with the flow, working with the energies of the group (and the weather!). This time is yours - join as much or as little as you need. There is no pressure. All we ask is that you embrace this opportunity to connect with the SUP & Soul sisterhood.

  • Qigong, Yoga & Sound Baths

To help connect in with the universal, earthly energies and ourselves, and because we like to support the local community, we’ll welcome in local instructors to lead us for qigong and yoga throughout the experience. There’s something deeply nourishing about practicing yoga in the forest, surrounded by the pine trees as they gently sway and whisper in the breeze, keeping us protected and feeling safe.

  • Food & Refreshments

Meals will mostly be prepared and cooked by our local team - a family run caterer and an independent chef who specialises in cooking over an open fire. For some meals we’ll come together to prepare and cook as a community. We’ll use a mix of traditional foods and fresh, in-season ingredients. Please ensure to tell us of dietary needs and allergies at the time of booking.

  • NEAREST AIRPORT

Trondheim Airport is the nearest airport to Ekne (our location). It is approx 30 min drive.

If you cannot find direct flights to Trondheim the other option is to fly via a connecting city e.g. Oslo (Norway), Amsterdam (Netherlands), London (UK). There may well be others.

There are regular connecting flights from Oslo with the below airlines:

    Scandinavian Airlines https://www.flysas.com/gb-en/

    Norwegian https://www.norwegian.com/

    TRAIN

You can take a train from Oslo to Trondheim Airport (and see the wonderful sights of the country en route) - it’s nearly 7 hours, one way tickets are approx £75.

From there you’ll need to get a connecting train to Åsen (approx 20 mins). We will then arrange to collect you from there by car or taxi.

    Norway Trains

  • EXTENDING YOUR TRIP

You might even want to extend your trip while you’re over in Norway and take in some other sights!

Trondheim city itself is worth a visit. My hometown Ålesund is also very beautiful (yes, I’m a little bias!) and both Bergen and Oslo are great cities to explore too.

As all Norwegian cities they’re small, the houses are colourful, the sea is never far away and you’re almost always close to nature.

Check out Visit Norway for more info/ideas.

    https://www.visitnorway.com/

    DRIVING

Driving in Norway is super easy (they drive on the right) and of course car hire is always a great idea - you could always pick up a car from Trondheim and drop it at another airport.

    • Prices will be provided for your chosen accommodation and will include 5 days & 6 nights accommodation, all activities and all meals. This is an alcohol-free experience - the focus is on wellness, health and deep connection with nature and each other.

NB: Local and international transport are not included. We can arrange local transport for an additional fee.

    • International travel to Norway

    • Domestic travel to Trondheim

    • Local transfers to the retreat location - we can help to co-ordinate this and arrange car shares where possible.

    • Personal travel insurance - it is a requirement that each guest has their own travel insurance. A copy of your travel insurance will be requested prior to arrival.

  • The weather in Norway is completely unpredictable - much like the UK and northern Europe. It could be cloudy and raining one minute and then clear up and the sun shines the next minute.

Average temperatures in June are 18-20° Celsius.

It’s all about clothing - if you have the right clothes you’ll be prepared for anything.

Bring a hat, a rain jacket, warm socks for nighttime and a choice of lighter clothing to layer up in and you’ll be just fine!

  • If you’d like to join the paddling activities then ideally you’ll have already learned how to paddle board before joining us and will have at least 4 hours of paddling experience. If this is an issue let us know and we can help to recommend schools and independent instructors across the UK - potentially Europe and further afield too.

  • That’s absolutely fine - you can totally take it easy, do as little or as much as you like and join in whatever takes your fancy. This is your time to rest and revive your soul.

  • Items to bring to make your stay fantastic:

    Lightweight wet weather gear

  • We are aiming for a maximum capacity of 10 places but there are more places available - ideally we’d like to ensure a cosy, intimate vibe so will cap it at 12 maximum. This is a women only experience, one that also welcomes people who identify as women and are comfortable in a space that centres the feminine energy.

  • You can choose to come on your own but as you’ll likely already know me (Cami) then you’ll have at least one friend on the trip and by the end of the trip I’m pretty sure you’ll have at least 12 more! I will make it my duty to ensure we have time to get to know each other as well as down time away from the group for reenergising.

  • You can get sports activities included in your travel insurance - just make sure that SUP and hiking are both included in your cover! I will be asking you to verify you have this insurance before joining any of the activities.

  • This is an alcohol free experience, we kindly ask that all guests honour this. This is to protect the needs of the group as a whole. Anyone who is found to be consuming alcohol will be kindly asked to stop. It is up to the discretion of the SUP & Soul team whether continued participation in the experience is accepted.
